Plan for the future and make sure your loved ones are taken care after you have passed. No one wants to think about death or what will happen when we are not here, but have peace of mind knowing that you took care of your loved ones as opposed to them having to fight in court.
Express your wishes regarding medical treatment by detailing who will make decisions on your behalf when you are unable to do so yourself. If you are incapacitated and cannot communicate your care instructions directly, advance directives and powers of attorneys are your voice to doctors and caregivers and to the trusted persons whom you have appointed to act on your behalf.
Upon death, our firm will assist family members and personal representatives in navigating the various requirements to have a Last Will and Testament administered through the probate court. If your loved-one passed away with relatively few assets, there may be alternatives to filing a full administration of the estate that will allow you to claim their personal property or real estate without unnecessary court involvement.
